13kg Gas Refill Price in Kenya: Order Online from Permalli Gas Suppliers

The 13kg gas refill price is one of the most common questions Kenyan households and small businesses ask when their cooking gas runs low. The 13kg cylinder is the standard size for average family homes, making its price a key factor in monthly household budgeting.

This guide explains the verified 13kg gas refill price in Kenya, what affects LPG pricing, how to order online, and what to check before your cylinder is delivered. It also introduces Permalli Gas Suppliers, an EPRA Certified Hub (#THK-0842) based in Ngoingwa Estate, Thika, Kiambu County, and shows Kenyan customers how to place an order and confirm delivery coverage in their area.

What Determines the 13kg Gas Refill Price in Kenya?

The price you pay for a 13kg gas refill is not fixed across the country. Several factors influence what you will be charged:

Brand and cylinder type

Different LPG brands—such as Pro-Gas, K-Gas, TotalEnergies, Afrigas, SeaGas, and Hass Gas—may have slightly different refill rates. Some brands carry premium pricing based on distribution costs and cylinder valve compatibility.

Location

Prices often vary between urban centres and rural areas due to transport and logistics costs. A refill in Thika may differ from the same refill in Nairobi, Mombasa, or Kisumu.

Supplier and certification

Licensed suppliers regulated by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) follow weigh-scale verification and sealing standards. Unlicensed vendors may advertise lower prices but risk underfilled or tampered cylinders.

Exchange vs. new cylinder

Exchanging an empty 13kg cylinder for a full one typically costs less than buying a brand-new cylinder that already contains gas, because you are paying only for the gas, not a new steel container.

Delivery fees

If you order delivery to your home or business, the delivery fee is usually added to the gas price. Fees depend on distance and zone.

Because of these variables, you should always confirm the current 13kg gas refill price with your supplier before paying.

Cooking Gas Cylinder Sizes and Prices Comparison

If you are unsure whether a 13kg cylinder is the right size, here is how the common options compare:

The 13kg cylinder offers a balance of portability and cooking duration for most Kenyan families. A 6kg cylinder suits smaller households or secondary burners, while a 50kg cylinder is generally too heavy for residential use and is better suited to restaurants, hotels, or institutions.

• Pro-Gas
• K-Gas
• TotalEnergies
• Afrigas

Cylinder Safety Tips for Kenyan Households

• Store cylinders upright in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and open flames.
• Keep cylinders out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not store cylinders in bedrooms or enclosed cupboards.
• If you smell gas, turn off the regulator, open doors and windows, and avoid switching electrical devices on or off.
• Never use a flame to check for leaks. Use soapy water on connections; bubbles indicate a leak.
• Replace gas hoses every two years or sooner if cracks appear.
• Replace regulators every five years or as recommended by a qualified technician.
